Dear neighbor,

Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, you and other members of our NY-16 community can receive tax credits and rebates to upgrade your home to clean energy. My town hall with special guests NY League of Conservation Voters Education Fund on Wednesday, March 15 at 6:30pm will celebrate the bill and provide information on how this bill helps you directly! For example:

• The Assisted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program provides an additional discount covering up to $5,000 per project for those who qualify based on their household income.

• Con Edison offers a rebate of $1,000 or more for customers who complete eligible work for whole house air sealing over 15% reduction, insulation, and/or duct sealing.

• NYS Clean Heat Program incentivizes New Yorkers to invest in more efficient appliances, which save money. Click HERE to find rebates and ENERGY STAR certified equipment is eligible for the tax credits.

We’ll talk about individual benefits in the act, how to combine NYS and Federal tax credits for optimal savings, and the types of available rebates, tax benefits and incentives.
